Oscars 2012 Best Dressed

Did you guys watch last night!!?!?  Although the actual show was only 'okay' the fashion surely did not disappoint.  Everyone was looking quite handsome last night, even the women.  One big trend we saw on the red carpet last night was long sleeves which I get since it is February and its cold but it made little Shailene Woodley look 200 years old instead of 20.  And don't even get me started on Angelina, while I think she is hands down one of the prettiest faces in the world, she wore black.  Boring.  Couldn't see the wonderful structured bodice of her black velvet Versace gown.... and JUST because your dress has a slit doesn't mean you need to stand with your leg out like your peeing on a fire hydrant.  And then there is the wonderful Emma Stone, whom I adore but her dress just screamed Nicole Kidman in Balenciaga.  If you don't know what I'm talking about... google it.  Anyways here is my list for best dressed of the evening:

gwyneth paltrow in tom ford

tina fey in carolina herrera

octavia spencer in tadashi shoji

jessica chastain in alexander mcqueen

michelle williams in louis vuitton

rooney mara in givenchy

meryl streep in lanvin

Sunday Brunch

Apologies ladies and gentlemen for the radio silence as my computer has been sick in the hospital and sadly will need to go back to the doctors as they still haven't fixed it.  But on a brighter note, today is Sunday which means bruuuunch.  Yummy yummy, on our way into midtown to find a new brunch spot and afterwards I will have my ass planted on the couch awaiting the arrival of the first celebrity to walk that Oscars red carpet.  Holy superbowl of awards show! So excited!

Emerald Flats

Saturday, the one day for running errands like a total freak.  This means being as comfortable as humanly possible.  Like I said one of my new years resolution was to add pops of color to my usual drab wardrobe. Madewell has been making fantastic ballet flats in tons of fun colors, pick a pair up!

Currently Craving

Zara Shoes.  Holy camoly! How beautiful are their shoes.  I could spend all my hard earned dollars on their shoes and not regret it one bit. That, is how stinkin awesome they are plus not one of these shoes featured here are over $100 bucks. Completely affordable and adorable.

Casual chinos

So I don't think I have owned a pair of chinos in yeeears but I stumbled upon these by Jack Wills and man do they fit to a T.  I have been dressing them up lately with work and meetings but I have been trying to take them into my everyday and finally found the perfect top to make it casual and cool.

Sunday Brunch

The one thing I love most about Sunday brunch is that no matter where you are in this country, everyone participates and thank gawd for that.  It has been unseasonably warm since we got to GA so I figured I would bust out a little spring in my step with my new citizens.  I am completely obsessed.

And I'm back...

So we made it back to Georgia like a week ago but things have been a little crazy trying to get settled in.  This is going to be a quick little post as I am running around constantly which is exactly why I have been dying over shirt dresses with their ease and sophistication.  Adios muchachos...
