On the road again...

Sorry for the radio silence lately but things have been quite hectic around here as I have an announcement... T and I are moving back all the way across the country to my home state of Georgia.  Back to the south, chick fil a, country music and sweet tea.  Could not be more excited to be reunited with my close knit family and the possibility of reuniting with long lost friends from high school.  We've had such an amazing time in San Francisco and can't believe it has so quickly come to an end but it's been an exciting adventure that will never be forgotten.  Wish us luck as we pack up the car and make our way down south and put another 2,700 miles on the car... I shall see you next time when I'm back in the great state of GA!

Date Night

Last night was mine and T's anniversary so of course we went out even though we both were so tempted to stay in our pajama's with the massive downpour of rain San Francisco got hit with.  We went to a great restaurant called Bluestem Brasserie which was ah-may-zing!  Since the mass amount of water pouring out of the sky was ridiculous it made dressing up a little difficult.

Tangerine Tango

So if you don't already know, Pantone has named Tangerine Tango as the color of the year for 2012. That being said, I can't say I own much of anything in a 'tangerine' color but a great way to incorporate any color into an outfit is always through a bold blazer.

Golden Globes 2012 Best Dressed

Last night was may-jor! Gah I am still dying over the gowns and the exciting award show.  I would kill to be a fly on the wall in that room.  Lots of trends on the red carpet last night including the mermaid silhouette and two big color trends: nude and navy.  Glorious.  I think by far my favorite of the night was Charlize Theron. Utter perfection. But here's my best dressed of the night list:

Emma Stone in Lanvin

Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang

Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen

Angelina Jolie in Altelier Versace

Salma Hayek in Gucci

Jessica Alba in Gucci

Charlize Theron in Dior Couture

Shailene Woodley in Marchesa

Paula Patton in Monique Lhullier

Helen Mirren in Badgley Mischka

Kristen Wiig in Bill Blass

Sarah Michelle Gellar in Monique Lhullier

Sunday Brunch

Today is a great day, it's Sunday! Woop woop, sunday brunch with the girls and then going out wedding dress shopping(not for me!) afterwards so I felt I needed to step up my usual casual sunday attire and bring my best carrie bradshaw to the table. Found this incredibly chic and comfortable 3.1 Phillip Lim dress at a Barney's sale and figure this brunch is the perfect excuse to bust it out!

Dress: 3.1 Phillip Lim // Jacket: French Connection // Necklace: Sass & Bide //
Clutch: Acoco // Booties: Alexander Wang

Critic's Choice Awards 2012 Best Dressed

Gosh I just love award season.  Last night, the critic's choice awards did not disappoint.  While few celebs, eh-hem evan rachel wood and elle fanning, left little to be desirable, many put their best foot forward.  I will say that my favorite look of the night is a tie between Diane Kruger (lady crush) and newbie to the scene Shailene Woodley.  Who was your favorite?!

Charlize Theron in Azzedine Alaia

Viola Davis in Raoul's

Emma Stone in Jason Wu

Elizabeth Olsen in Emilio Pucci

Shailene Woodley in Calvin Klein

Kirsten Dunst in Christian Dior

Diane Kruger in Prada

People's Choice Awards 2012 Best Dressed

Wooooo... Award Season is upon us.  The battle for the remote has begun with 'T' wanting to watch sports and me ultimately winning this battle watching Red Carpet pre-shows.  Last night was no exception with the People's Choice Award.  While I believe hair and makeup could have stepped up their game last night, the frocks brought their A-game on the A-list.

Miley Cyrus in David Koma

Lea Michelle in Marchesa

Chloe Moretz in Proenza Schouler

Emma Stone in Gucci

Lucy Hale in Cengiz Abazoglu

Nina Dobrev in Elie Saab

Jennifer Morrison in Oscar de la Renta

Who made your best dressed list?!

Spring 12 Trends: NEON

A huge trend for Spring 2012 that I am super pumped for is NEON! As someone whose closet is stocked with every variety of black garment, these neons will be able to amp up any outfit I put together.  Here are some that I am coveting for my wardrobe...

Pops of color

My closet, sadly, consists mainly of one color... black.  Ugh so drab. But it's a new year, a new me, and  with that comes some exciting pops of color to brighten my otherwise dark wardrobe.

Office Attire

I, along with most other women I know, have a basic work uniform that they stick to.  Someone women prefer dresses and cardigans, while others prefer black pants and blouses.  I am a jeans and blazer type of work woman (thank god I chose an industry where this is acceptable) but I have decided that part of my new years resolution is to mix up my work outfit routine.  Out with the old, in with the new.  Out with the boring, in with the bold.
