Pink & Red - fave color combo

Happy friday errr-body! It is super rainy out today which just brings the mood straight down so I figured I need the brightest and cheeriest outfit ever.  Pink and red has been a color combo that took over last fall but is easily transition-able into spring and summer.

Spring 12 Trends: Peplum

Another addition of trends to try for Spring/Summer 2012.  Peplums! They were just about everywhere on the runways and I know some of you are thinking 'why the hell do I want extra fabric sitting on my hips?' but trust me, it is an extremely flattering look when put together correctly.  Try balancing out your peplum top with a pencil skirt or skinny jeans.

Sunday Brunch

So I recently saw this picture of rachel bilson rocking some seriously kick ass red shorts and figured I need to give it a try.  Since it is now officially spring (at least in my mind) I figured I would give it a shot. Found these frickin' adorable red scallop hem shorts at Jcrew and can honestly tell you they will now be a staple in my spring/summer wardrobe.

Day to Night

One of the most important things a woman needs to know is how to dress: day to night.  Men have it so easy with slacks and a button down to take them from the board room to the bar while women (especially single ones) struggle with mixing sexy and office appropriate. Blazers and colors are a girls best friend.

Pretty in Pink

So I will be the first to say that I went through a hard core pink phase in high school. Like really hard core and since then I haven't really touched the color, until my best friend pushed me head first into a pink as hell outfit and I loved it. For some reason dressing in all one color (other than black - my go to) gave me a kick ass swagger when I walked.  Try it out, you just might find an extra boost in confidence!
